Nei stands as a testament to the beauty of simplicity and precision in design. Its structure, though seemingly simple, is adorned with thoughtful details to a level of distinction. At first glance, the Nei table captures attention with its elegant form and striking proportions. However, upon closer inspection, its true allure lies in the meticulous craftsmanship and innovative design elements that set it apart.

The Nei table presents visible leg details from the tabletop, contributing to its unique aesthetic appeal. This design effectively integrates the tabletop with the legs, accentuating the natural curvature of the wood and creating a harmonious visual effect. In designing the table, Ronan’s initial concept was to “find the details that could be in relationship with the Shaku chair. The idea is to have the perimeter of the leg on the tabletop and to see the leg detail on the top. It's new and beautiful and it's a table with a lot of difference," he notes. "We find it's very related to the Shaku chair, and the gap between the leg and the tabletop is a nice detail," he adds.

One of the key challenges in crafting Nei was overcoming the natural expansion and contraction of solid wood. By ingeniously designing an independent structure without an apron or beam, this table ensures both the integrity of the design and practicality for users, offering ample legroom and space for armchairs. Moreover, Nei's knock-down structure not only enhances its portability but also reflects KOYORI's commitment to sustainability and ease of assembly. Behind the scenes, master craftsmen worked tirelessly to refine every detail, from machining to joining, ensuring that Nei embodies the highest standards of quality and precision.

Nei Table is versatile, available in both rectangular and round shapes to suit various needs and spaces. Ronan Bouroullec notes, "This design works well with a round table, too. I think the round table with this shape and tactility will be nice in a small space, like in a café or a kitchen space."
